This lady's prosthetic arm attaches directly to the bone. The skin has grown around and fused to the bone and metal. Heartwarming and creepy. I'm not entirely sure as to what this thing is doing, and from the commenter's on boingboing, they don't seem to have a consensus either, but goddamn that's terrifying. If its doing what I suspect that it is, shooting innocent civilians trapped under that net, then it must be stopped. Or purchased. Either way, I suspect we're doomed to servitude to mechanical masters before any other cataclysmic event destroys our lives.
